No special art knowledge is necessary for this class. I will be teaching the process of drawing and painting in a step by step order to ensure that students can follow easily and don’t fall behind. My teaching style/pace is flexible to the group of students I have. We will also have the opportunity to discuss some basic facts and knowledge about penguins. Students will be able to interact with me and ask questions as much as they’d like! I will be giving feedback, suggestions, and positive comments throughout the class time. I also enjoy chatting while we work, if students like.
學習目標
Students will be able to draw a penguin and a beach scene using simplified shapes and lines. We will then use watercolors to complete the piece of art with color. More advanced students can learn to use value with watercolor paints.

Watercolor paper or something similar to paint on, pencil, black permanent marker (ultra-fine or fine tip), watercolor paints, paintbrushes, paper towel, a cup of water.

Hello, everyone! My name is Jen. My passion is art! I am a certified visual art teacher (for all grades) and a certified multiple subjects teacher (elementary level) and have been teaching art for 15 years. I primarily teach painting and drawing. My favorite thing is to see a student have fun, gain confidence and learn something in my classes! In my classes, I break steps down to make art easy and enjoyable.
