吉他演奏者音樂理論 1 級 - 音程與大調音階

I welcome learners of all identities and backgrounds into my classes. 

This is a music theory class for guitar players, that already have some basic skillscon the guitar. If you took my level 1 introduction to guitar class, then you are ready for this class. You are ready for this class if  you have taken some private lessons, or already know some guitar basics, including how to play chords and read guitar tablature. 

Week 1 - Half Steps and Whole Steps 
The students will learn what  half steps and whole steps are. They will get an overview of how half steps and whole steps are the building blocks for scales, chords and keys. 
We will play half steps and whole steps on the guitar. 
We will learn how intervals are made up of half steps and whole steps. 

Week 2 - Intervals 
We will learn what a musical interval is and how scales are made up of a set of specific intervals. We will learn about the following intervals and how to form them - minor 2nd, major 2nd, minor 3rd , major 3rd, perfect 4th , perfect 5th , minor 6th, major 6th, minor 7th, major 7th and the octave. 
We will play some of the intervals on the guitar. 

Week 3 - Major scales 
We will learn how the major scale is made up of a specific set of intervals, and be able to create a major scale by understanding the interval pattern. The student will learn what a tetra- chord is,  and how scales can be created on the guitar using tetra - chords. 
Students will practice forming and playing the major scales on the first string of the guitar. 

Week 4 - Circle of Fifths 
The students will learn what the Circle of Fifths is , and how it can help them to  understand the major scales better.
The students will learn about key signatures, and how many sharps are in each of the sharp scales and key signatures. 
Paper and pencil will be especially needed for this class.
