Learners will improve their reading, critical thinking, analysis, and writing skills.

I have been teaching literature and college-level English for over 20 years.  When discussing history in literature, I take a neutral approach but allow learners to share their thoughts, as long as they can back it though textual evidence.  As a certified English teacher, I can also provide your learner a detailed grade report at the end of the course if requested.

Learners will be given enrichment activities to do each week in addition to a small writing and research project near the end of the courses that may require outside work.

I will be assessing students informally during class and will be providing written and audio feedback throughout the course.  If any learner needs a formal assessment in the form of a detailed report card, I am also able to provide that (just make sure you let me know)!

We will be using a combination of primary sources from the National Archives and videos that have already been pre-approved to use.
