55 分鐘 上課時間作業
Since the course is 55 minutes, some learners may need to complete their drawings individually after class officially ends. What I will ensure is that the student has a base portrait that employs the "golden rule" and that they only have coloring to complete. I always encourage my learners to forward their finished pieces to me if they do not complete it before the end of class! I love seeing the finished portraits.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。
課堂經歷
This is how the class will be structured, step-by-step: • Students will be given a brief overview of the art and life of Amedeo Modigliani. • Examples of some of his most famous paintings will be viewed. • Students will be taught the proportional "golden rule"* that applies to all Modigliani subjects'—especially the faces and bodies. • We'll discuss the long, stroking technique he used to create his backgrounds. • Students will draw a rough pencil composition of themselves using the "golden rule" and the basic background. • Students will share their pencil compositions, and we'll discuss their progress. • Students will add color to their portraits in the style of Modigliani. • Students will share their progress with the other learners as they color and at the end of class.•• Since this is first and foremost a drawing course, the bulk of class time will be devoted to the students quietly drawing a portrait of themselves in Modigliani's signature style. I will be guiding them step-by-step through drawing their portraits, and the students will be able to interact with me and others by sharing their progress along the way. *This will require students to understand basic mathematics, particularly simple division. **Some students may not complete all of their coloring by the end of class, others may finish more quickly—and both are okay! I will ensure that all students have finished their base composition by the end of class, and understand the technique they should use to finish coloring on their own.
學習目標
The goal of the class is to learn how Modigliani handled proportions in his portraiture—namely the elongation of his subjects' faces, necks, and shoulders.

My name is Troy E. Wilderson. I am an instructor who is equally passionate about creative writing and art, and I’ve made a career of doing both.
I teach a range of creative classes for a variety of ages. I am passionate about poetry, literary fiction, genre fiction, and the fine arts. I also enjoy pop culture, music, and film, especially when their study crosses paths with art and writing. My courses include How to Write an Ekphrastic Poem, How to Draw Like Keith Haring, How to Draw Like Modigliani, How to Draw Like Roy Lichtenstein, How to Draw Like Wayne Thiebaud, How to Draw an Abstract Portrait, How to Write a Short Story, and my super creative Creating and Drawing an Underground World.
I am a published author. My writing has been published in the following publications: The Ekphrastic Review, Crack the Spine Anthology XVII, The Louisville Review, the Tishman Review, the Roanoke Review, The Notre Dame Review, and F(r)iction.
I have worked with students ages eight to eighteen as a certified substitute teacher. I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Spalding University. I also earned my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Macalester College and my Associates of Arts in Graphic Design from Pratt Institute.
As a writing and art instructor, my primary goal is to fully engage with the students and have them learn in a fun way. Having students learn a new skill or use their talent through my creative outlets are the reason I enjoy teaching. My interactive technique ensures a pleasurable experience for all of my students. My hope is that my enthusiasm for art and writing is infectious.
Outside of writing, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing Scrabble, and going to museums and plays.
