During this weekly 20-minute class, learners will meet to breathe, connect and become mindful of their bodies and surroundings! Here is a brief overview of what class may look like: - Welcome and answer opening question (like what color are you feeling today?) - Rain Song for body awareness - Review how we listen (eyes, ears, body and brain) - Learn a fun and easy, age appropriate breathing technique and practice it together to help oxygenate our brains and bodies - Share our intentions...
I am a licensed ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist. I worked in an elementary school for 2 1/2 years and am currently homeschooling my 5 year old daughter. We love spending time in nature, playing music, arts and crafts, reading, learning about numbers and sounds. I am a musician and singer-songwriter. I have a special interest in yoga and meditation. I have attended seminars and trainings for conscious communication and self development. I have studied yoga and breathing and have attended yoga retreats and breathwork classes. I highly recommend the book that the self development course I took is based on, "Redirecting Children's Behavior" by Kathryn Kvols for parenting (first parenting yourself before parenting your children).
