This is a workshop style class. Over the four weeks students will learn what mind mapping is, why it works, and how to use it to improve their learning and memory. Students will use colors, drawings, and words to make their version of the mind map unique to them. Students will post their mind maps in the classroom after the lesson. Students will comment on each other's mind maps, and learn to make constructive suggestions to others. Students will create four different mind maps. Each week...
Taking psychology completely changed my own approach to learning, and I was 19 years old when I took my first psychology class! I want to help children strengthen their brain so they don't have to wait so long to learn the best way to learn. I studied Child and Youth Studies at University, and took every psychology elective that I could fit in my schedule. I have remained fascinated with the brain, and I hope my students will feel the same way!
