Students will need two six-sided dice (D6) or access to a dice rolling website or app. 

Purchasing Masks books is not required, though students and parents would benefit from reading through the Masks pages on the Magpie Games website (linked in External Resources) to learn more about the different Playbooks. After students have selected Playbooks (during first class session), they should print that Playbook in order to keep track of their character's advancement, Moves, and other relevant information.

Consent is an important part of tabletop roleplaying. During the first game session, I will work with students to establish boundaries for gameplay in order to make all players feel safe. Players are encouraged to create diverse characters. Students are invited to privately message me with topics they wish to avoid during the game, such as animals in danger, major character injury, or a specific phobia. The amount of combat, tone and content of the plotlines, and nature of the villains can be scaled/altered to accommodate player needs.
