For this one-week course on the hero's journey in creative writing, we'll embark on an intensive exploration structured around both the theory and practice of crafting a narrative. The course is designed to help students understand the classical structure of a hero's journey and apply this framework to develop their own creative stories. Students will create their own heroic character. Students will write a narrative based on the hero's journey. Students will present their finished heroic journey to their classmates! Students will rehearse and practice writing conventions through writing a heroic narrative.
