The Legend of Zelda series is a fan favorite that encourages players to explore and dive deeper into its rich worlds, lore, and history. In this one-time course, students will explore the history of the series, covering the different games by learning the methodology that historians use to understand the past. In this class students will be encouraged as historians to take their experiences from the games to better understand the history found within the series as well as its historical...
Students will learn history from an academic perspective, who works as historians, and the benefits of historical understanding. Students will learn how to differentiate between primary and secondary sources. Students will explore pop culture history and its methods. Students will explore the differences between written history, oral history, mythology, and history through material culture.
