This is a continuation of the first "Learn to Play for Beginners Class." Continue your learning from where you left off in class 1! The focus will be on music reading and fluid performance. Students will learn: -to recognize the keys on the piano and their names. -finger numbers and how they relate to the position on the piano. -melodic contour -learning songs by rote and by reading -learn the value of practice and extension at home -basic rhythms and how to play and clap them -proper piano...
The teacher, Michelle Wheeler, will be using the principles in the Royal Conservatory of Music piano teacher certification program to help students begin their piano learning with proper technique and knowledge to continue into the RCM exam program if they so choose. Michelle is a certified Elementary Piano Specialist through the Royal Conservatory of Music, holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Masters in Music.
Faber and Faber- Level 1 Lesson and Theory book (red books) are required. These can be purchased on Amazon or through your local music dealer.
