Meet Sunday or Monday each week for a read aloud! Read alouds are a great way for students to hone their own reading skills while sharing their experiences and ideas. In this ongoing class, students will gather each week for a different chapter book from my early reader series, The Whatif Monster Chapter Books Series. As I read the book, they will engage with the book and each other by responding both to questions that I ask and to comments from other students. Topics and reading...
Read alouds are a great way for students of various reading levels to practice reading skills together. Students will practice listening and conversation skills as well as reading concepts including, but not limited to, inferring, predicting, and summarizing. Read alouds build vocabulary, improve comprehension, and build attention span. They also help students improve fluency and expression in their own reading.
Parents are welcome to sit and listen during class.
I will be reading one book each week from The Whatif Monster Chapter Book Series. They will be read in order 1-18 and then start over again. It is not required to have the books but if you would like to get them you can purchase on my website at MNScreative.com or on Amazon.
