In this fun and interactive art history class, with plenty of discussion and games, we will look at four paintings by Pieter Bruegel. Pieter Bruegel was born in 1525 and was a famous renaissance artist like Da Vinci and Michelangelo, but unlike these Italian artists, he lived further North, in the Netherlands. His nickname was “Peasant Bruegel,” as he would often don peasant’s clothing and attend social gatherings and weddings, in order to mingle and interact with the locals, and gain insight...
I have a humanities degree from the University of Oxford and teach a range of art history classes (group and private) on Outschool.
