In this one-hour beginner one-time online class, learners will bake Nutella cookies. No prior experience is needed to join this class, total baking newbies are welcome! Miss Rachel will be very patient, baking cookies at the same time as learners with a close view of each step. Students will improve their baking skills in measuring, mixing, dividing, rolling, and decorating as well as understanding cookie baking tools and how to use them.
I have taught cooking classes to 8-12-year-old tweens as a Classroom Teacher in Elementary School for 5 years. During my work as a nanny, I created cooking activities for kids. As a home baker, I love creating and sharing my passion so I run an online bakery from home and ship treats to customers around the world. As a stay-at-home mama my toddler son loves to bake so we make fun foods together!
𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: 1 Cup Nutella 1 Egg 1/2 Cup Plain White Flour 1/4 Cup Nutella for decorating Sprinkles (optional) 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀: Oven Piping Bag OR Zip Lock Bag for Nutella Parchment Paper Sheet Pan Mixing Bowl Electric Mixer OR Spoon Scissors Teaspoon Cookie Scoop OR Tablespoon for evenly dividing cookie dough Flour Sifter
- ALLERGIES: Please note possible nut and egg allergens. If anyone in your learner's household suffers from these allergies then this class is not a good fit. - SCISSORS: Will be used when cutting the parchment paper to sheet pan size and to cut a hole in the decorating bag to allow Nutella to flow. - HOT OVEN: This class uses a hot oven throughout. Also, a hot cookie sheet pan when removing cookies from the oven. Care will need to be taken when inserting and removing cookies from the oven because of the extreme heat. The use of oven mitts to protect your learner's hands is strongly recommended. Safety precautions will also be given during class as a reminder to be careful when using an oven.
