Students will explore Black culture and LGBT rights from a historical lens of learning. This class will be a safe place for LGBT and/or Black students and aim to encourage the value in each of our contributions to the relationships we share in our communities. 

I have studied this topic extensively as it relates to my own desire to learn more about my community. During that pursuit of true understanding of our study, I learned so many Black and LGBTQ+ Americans do not yet know how our cultures are so interconnected or yet know how vital members of our community are responsible for the positive attention to our communities needs.
