Hatchet Book Club will guide students through the novel. Students will read some parts independently and some with the class. During our class time, we will meet together to discuss each section, answer comprehension questions, review any sections that were difficult to understand, complete an activity or art project related to our reading, and review reading skills. This class is recommended for 4th grade and up. 

This is a great course to have your child take if they need to review reading skills, learn to love reading, and/or a book to read over the Summer. This Book Club will enrich student's comprehension of the text and in addition, your child will enjoy the book!
*Students will need a copy of Hatchet by Gary Paulsen (printed or e-book)

Day 1: Before Reading Questions & Chapters 1-2
Day 2: Flashback & Chapters 3-4
Day 3: Character Traits & Chapters 5-6
Day 4: Plot & Chapters 7-8
Day 5: Visualize & Chapters 9-10
Day 6: Cause & Effect & Chapters 11-13
Day 7: Conclusion & Chapters 14-16
Day 8: After Reading Questions & Plot Events, Chapters 17-19
