In this on-going class, students will practice letter formation using fun rhymes to remember how to properly form the letters. Students will also practice using the letter practiced in words. For example if the letter of the day is m, we would first practice forming m, and then practice forming words with the letter m, such as mat, Sam, ram, amp, etc. Students will practice both the lower and upper case formation for each letter. Students will develop proper handwriting. Students will strengthen their hands. Students will practice proper letter formation in words and sentences. Students will practice spacing and punctuation.
I am a former elementary teacher. I taught first and second grade, where I emphasized handwriting because it helps with hand strength and spelling. I will complete my Masters of Elementary Education in May 2023.
There will be worksheet provided that show proper letter formation and have handwriting lines. Students will need the worksheet printed each week.
