The students will improve skills in four basic areas-
Pitch
Breathing 
Improved Tone Quality
Vocal Range Classification and Voice Register Recognition 

Other areas of expected growth-
Singing in front of an audience 
Proper stage and microphone technique 
Phrasing and vowel modification for multiple genres to promote a more well rounded singing approach 

Sheila Gardner has over 34 years of performing experience and 14 years of teaching experience. She has led multiple student vocal groups that have performed in many types of venues and has many students involved in performing in their schools and communities.

Some vocal exercise work will be necessary as they progress. It will also be imperative for them to be working on any song suggestions or specific goals each student sets for this class.

Progress will be measured through in lesson time tracking as well as students sending an audio/video recording of their homework to the teacher for evaluation. This can be done through Outschool platform messaging.
