In this holiday storytime class, students will enjoy listening to me read a funny and unique book, How Murray Saved Christmas. by Mike Reiss. The author is an Emmy award-winning writer of The Simpsons. When Santa can't make his trip around the world one Christmas Eve, Murray comes to the rescue with the help of Edison Elf. How Murray Saved Christmas is a catchy, rhyming story written in the format of Twas the Night Before Christmas, and has some comedic appeal for people of all ages....
Students will practice recognizing made-up words used to add humor. Students will also practice taking turns in class, and gain confidence through presenting their ideas.
