Let's learn about multiplying fractions! This class for younger students ages 7-9 that have already done some work with fractions. We will do some reviewing with adding and subtracting at the beginning of class and then introduce the new concept of multiplying fractions. We will talk about Proper Fractions and Improper Fractions, too. Students will participate in fun activities to practice what they have learned and what they are learning in this class. Students will benefit from having some knowledge of multiplication. I will send one handout that students should print out for their class.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
