Fractions are fun! This class is for learners that have been adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions and are beginning to learn about changing mixed numbers to improper fractions. In this class we will talk about numerators, denominators, factors, proper fractions, and improper fractions. We will use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Learners will receive some instruction; as well as, participate in activities and games where they can put their new skills to work. Learners will have opportunity to interact with their teacher and classmates. Learners will benefit from a knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
