In this one-time course, students will learn about fractions using many different activities with Skittles. Students will learn partitioning, equivalent fractions, fractions on a number line, equivalent fractions on a number line, and word problems involving fractions. This class will be fun, high-energy, and very informal. Learners often gain a much deeper understanding of a concept when they use hands-on methods, and this course does just that. We will finish off the course playing a fractions game while we enjoy eating our math manipulatives. We've worked hard, and we've earned it!
