This class is designed for individuals who want to create a successful YouTube channel as an influencer. The course will cover a variety of topics, including how to create engaging content, how to use video editing software, and how to promote and grow your channel. GOALS: -Teach students how to create a YouTube channel and optimize it for success -Provide students with an understanding of video editing software -Teach students how to create engaging video content -Provide students with tips and tricks for creating a content strategy and promoting their channel -Help students develop their personal brand and monetize their channel Topics covered in this class include: Class 1: Setting Up and Understanding Equipment -Instructions for opening a channel and understanding the equipment needed for high-quality videos Class 2: Planning and Creating Content -Planning for a great channel and creating catchy videos -Identifying the target audience and understanding their needs -Creating a content calendar and planning for consistent uploads Class 3: Building an Audience -Building a subscriber base -Learning from successful creators -Networking with like-minded individuals Class 4 - 6: Video Editing, Safety and Monetizing -Basic video editing -Practicing internet safety -Making money on YouTube Please note that due to YouTube's privacy and age requirements, students will be provided with instructions for creating their own channel, but a channel cannot be opened for a minor by anyone other than a parent or legal guardian. Students will be provided with instructions on opening a channel during the course, and the process typically takes 5 minutes. It's an interactive course that provides a hands-on approach to learning and building a successful YouTube channel. The weekly schedule includes: Mondays: Teacher posts information for the week. Tuesdays-Wednesday: Teacher answers questions about the topic of the week and students complete homework assignments and answer any questions in class. Thursday: Students must have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom. Friday: Teacher provides feedback to the class and individual students, and students engage in peer-to-peer review and discuss their approach to completing tasks. Saturday-Sunday: Teacher is available to answer any questions for the week or the following week. Students will learn skills such as how to build a YouTube channel and subscriber base, and what makes a channel successful, allowing them to find more productive ways to spend their time than playing video games or scrolling through social media. Because of YouTube privacy and age requirements, I am able to provide you with instructions to create the channel, however, I am not able to open a channel for learners. No adult other than a parent is lawfully able to open a YouTube account for any minor. It takes 5 minutes to open a channel. Instructions for opening a YouTube channel are included on the course.
No experience is required to take this class.
