A film script is the blueprint for your movie. It's important to write a script that's in the correct format so that everyone is literally "on the same page" during production. But before you start typing on that blank screen, a lot of decisions need to be made based on knowledge of how scripts are actually used by real film and television crews. Depending on the knowledge you already have about scripts and how to write them, topics may include: - Basic script formatting, including "slug...
I have written and directed television shows ("The Manos Chronicles," "Vintage America with Ginger," "Hidden Gems") and audio dramas ("Triune"). As the showrunner for these projects, I am responsible for every detail from pre-production through post-production. I have done "script doctoring" and script consulting for a number of writers, and been a judge for various script writing competitions. I have also been a production manager and production coordinator and worked closely with directors on a number of film and television sets of various budgets and sizes.Recommended reading (not required) - "The Screenwriter's Bible" by David Trottier "The Complete Screenwriter's Manual" by Bowles, Mangravite, & Zorn "Save the Cat" by Blake Snyder
