In this one-to-one session, each learner and I will partner to work through ELA (English Language Arts) concepts and projects. These may include deepening in the topics from my other classes, such as: writing (long and short essays, creative works, short stories, poetry, etc.), reading fiction and non-fiction, analyzing texts for greater comprehension, spelling and vocabulary expansion, punctuation rules and application, and grammar rules. Knowing that each student comes from a unique background -- that includes schooling history, regional standards, personality, online engagement, individual talents, (among other things) -- I will especially strive to connect with each learner in a personal way to make the most of our time together. As well, I will review and edit any written pieces the learner would like feedback on, both before and after our tutoring session.

I am walking the language arts journey with my three children while homeschooling them, as well as with several other students in various grades.
