In this ongoing course, students will practice writing a paragraph and learn how to edit a paragraph each week. This class meets twice a week. During the first class of the week, students will brainstorm with a graphic organizer and write their paragraph. During the second class of the week, students will edit their paragraph and write a final draft. The classes do not build upon each other each week so you can join any week. Day 1 - Students will use a graphic organizer to brainstorm ideas, and then, they will organize their ideas into a paragraph. Day 2 - Students will learn how edit their paragraph and write a final draft of the paragraph.
I have taught in an elementary school for the past thirteen years. Students struggle to know how to edit their own writing. This course will give students practice with editing their writing.
Students will need the following materials each week: - Graphic Organizer (This will be posted before class begins each week.) - Pencil - Notebook or Writing Paper - Editing Checklist
