In this dance class, the student will be introduced/challenged in their dance technique through an individualized and thoughtful class plan geared from pre-ballet to beginning through advanced dancer. Together we will cover specific goals in movement and methodology, such as but not limited to: musicality and dynamics, strength and control, artistry (and miming/acting), flexibility, and turns and jumps. At the beginning of class we will start with personalized beginning, intermediate, or...
In this class, dancers can expect to grow in the following areas: movement, technique, skill, artistry, and terminology. For any specific goals or movement learners want to work on, please contact me ahead of time so I can develop the best individualized class plan for your dancer.
Materials: - Comfortable clothes you can move and stretch in - Socks or ballet slippers - A chair, counter, or sturdy surface to hold on to for barre work, about waist height* - An open space to dance in safely, at least a 4 ft by 4 ft square - Water bottle - Notebook and pen *Barre not necessary for pre-ballet students. Please specify at enrollment.
Please contact me in advance if you have any health or safety concerns for your learner. In this class we will move at a moderate pace together, monitoring our physical activity safely.
