First of all, thank you for your interest in this course. In choosing this course, students will learn how to effectively write a five-paragraph informative essay about an unsung, African-American heroine or hero. In addition, students will be given a choice in selecting the heroine or hero and will learn how to research information about that person. The goal of this course is to improve and develop students’ reading, writing, research, and cognitive skills.
Aside from being a socially, emotionally trained educator and certified in dealing with at-risk students, I am a published writer who has written for newspapers and magazines.
