Welcome to Create a Cartoon Character, a club where we will create cartoon characters in ways that are easy and fun. Enjoy art, but have no confidence? Let me teach you how to use simple shapes to draw anything. This method will help you see the simple shapes in everything around you and improve your observational drawing skills.

In this club, you will learn to create cartoon characters using simple drawing techniques. You will learn to draw shapes and turn them into objects or other things, such as animals. From there, you will turn them into cartoon characters. After that, you will create a background for your pieces.

Each week, you will learn to create a new cartoon character with a different shape. While shapes and characters will change every week, the activity's format will remain the same. In each activity, participants are guided with step by step instructions so that they can create cartoon characters with confidence. Most importantly, activities are structured so that you will be able to unleash your creativity and have fun.

Week of January 27: Drawing a cartoon puffer fish using an oval.

Week of February 3: Drawing a cartoon whale using a rectangle.

Week of February 10: Drawing a cartoon submarine using an oval.

Week of February 17: Drawing a cartoon octopus using a circle.

Week of February 24: Drawing a cartoon sunfish using a rectangle.

Week of March 3: Drawing a cartoon goldfish using an oval.

Week of March 10: Drawing a cartoon ice cream cone using a triangle.

Week of March 17: Drawing a cartoon a cartoon cupcake using a trapezoid.
