During this class, we will complete a quick review of the grammar terms: noun, verb, adjective and adverb, as well as "descriptive words and phrases." The class will center around open discussion and the sharing of ideas, as we take turns creating our basic sentences on which to build. We will review the target terms using fun card games, as well as "Guess the Grammar (Charades)." Students will be encouraged to let their imaginations relax as they create their own example grammar options AND...
In this class students will not only practice basic grammar without realizing it, but they will also have the opportunity to learn a fun strategy to help them become more descriptive writers. The more we apply what we have learned, the better that information remains in our brains and the easier we can retrieve the information moving forward through school and life.
Please come prepared with pencil, eraser, and paper.
