Shakespeare can be a lot to grasp! This course will give students the basics and help them to understand why he was so important. Students will learn about Shakespeare's early life and where he was born. We will cover his eventual move to London as well as touch on his "lost years". Students will get to take a close look at the Globe Theater and go on a virtual tour of the reconstruction that stands today. From there, we will delve into his most famous works. We will briefly cover his...
By the end of this one time course, students will be able to identify the major works of Shakespeare. They will have a better understanding of his use of language. Students will be able to locate his place of birth and understand a bit about his early life.
Two-three worksheets will be provided as well as excerpts from several Shakespeare plays.
