Welcome! I'm glad that you've chosen this course to build your 3D skills in Blender. As the official class start-date approaches, I will release the full week's content to the classroom. This includes the video lessons and hotkey reference sheets, a handy printable lesson plan that you can use as an assignment checklist - as well as downloadable Blender project files that you can use to reference or check your work. 
	
Now is also a good time to double check the system requirements for Blender to ensure that your computer or laptop can run it without issue. To be sure that this course accommodates a wide range of students, I've designed the projects in this course to ensure that you don't need the latest and greatest computer hardware to complete them. https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/ If you already know how to download and install Blender, feel free to do so before class begins. If not, no problem. Week one includes a short video on how to do that.

How Youtube is used in this course: No account is required. Each week I will post all of the video content in a single slide-based presentation with the videos and helpful tips embedded within it. I also post each video link individually within the Classroom. These videos will play within an embedded video player on the Outschool website.

How Blender is used in this course: This course uses Blender, a free and open source program for creating 3D models and animation. No account is needed. I may sometimes ask students to send me screenshots of their Blender window in order to troubleshoot technical issues.
