ASL 感受：記錄你的情緒

Social-emotional learning starts by learning how to name our feelings.  Happy, sad, mad, excited, scared… all of these are things our kids feel every day.  In this class we will talk about those feelings and learn the ASL signs for our emotions.  Because sometimes kids (and grown ups!) are just too emotional to even verbalize our feelings. Having another way to communicate with friends and family can go a long way in helping children find a way to be calm, peaceful and happy!

Best of all, preschoolers LOVE to sign – it’s like their own secret language! Children in this age group are natural signers – they love to learn with their hands. The kinesthetic activity helps them to remember important concepts and learn new words!  The signs we will learn in this class are: happy, sad, mad, excited, scared, shy, sick, tired, worried, hungry, thirsty, hot, cold, surprised, and silly.

In Mindful Signs classes, we use both signing and movement to help keep students physically engaged so they can increase their vocabulary, improve their fine-motor skills and hand-eye coordination!
