課堂經歷
**Note: This is an "Art Camp" which meets four days in a row. If you would like to take this class on the same day and time over four weeks please see my Draw and Paint Like Four Famous Artists class. Each day in this class students will learn about a famous artist's masterpiece and create an artwork inspired by it. We will begin our class with a discussion of our artist and their artwork. Then I will lead students through a step by step demonstration of how to make their own...
-Students will become familiar with famous artists and artworks. -Students will be able to use basic shapes to draw a picture. This is a skill they can apply to other drawings as well. -Students will be able to use introductory watercolor techniques to add color and personality to their artwork.
I have taught elementary art for over 16 years and each of my lessons is developed thoughtfully and practiced ahead of time, keeping in mind student skill level and interests. I am passionate about helping young artists find their unique artistic voices and therefore balance guided drawing with creative expression in this lesson. I provide positive encouragement to students throughout our class time and hope they enjoy this project as much as I do.

Supplies Needed Each Day: - 9x12 Thicker white paper suitable for painting (80lb weight or higher; I like Canson (100510941) XL Series Watercolor Pad, 9" x 12", Fold-Over Cover, 30 Sheets) - Pencil with eraser - Crayons or oil pastels - Watercolor set (Prang or Crayola recommended) - Watercolor brush - Container with water (a container with a wider base or a bowl is less likely to spill) - Paper towels **You may also want a piece of poster board or large paper to cover the work area.
