課堂經歷
In this interactive, ongoing class, young artists will explore the vibrant world of art, art history, and famous artists. Your learner will feel like an art history pro as they identify Picasso's abstract shapes, recognize Matisse's bold cutouts, and spot Van Gogh's textured impasto brushstrokes! Each week, we’ll focus on a new famous artist and their incredible journey. From artistic beginnings and global movements to fun, fascinating facts (did you know Matisse developed his cutout style while bedridden, or that Van Gogh painted self-portraits because he couldn’t afford models?), students will be inspired to think creatively. The best part? This is a project-based learning class! Learners will dive into hands-on art projects inspired by each artist. Create a Pollock-style paint splatter, a Seurat dot masterpiece, or a Picasso cubist self-portrait! With a warm, lively, and encouraging teaching style, I nurture kids' natural love for art and learning. This class is perfect for homeschoolers, budding artists, or anyone curious about art history and creative expression. Whether your learner is a quiet observer or an enthusiastic creator, they’ll feel right at home here. Jump in anytime—our art club features a year-long rotation of incredible famous artists. 教師專業知識和證書
Hello! I'm Nicole, and I'm thrilled to be your child's guide to the beautiful world of discovering new things. My teaching style is warm, lively, and nurturing, creating a safe and engaging environment where every student can thrive. Over the years, I've been honored to develop deep relationships with my students. Some have gone from hating art to winning art awards and aspiring to become artists. I'm proud that many neurodivergent students who originally disliked learning now eagerly look forward to my classes each week.
I bring a diverse background to my teaching. As a lawyer and current stay-at-home homeschool teacher and co-op educator for other homeschooled students, I have a unique perspective on education. I graduated from college in just 10 months at the age of 19 and became Michigan's Attorney General Office's "Rookie of the Year" attorney at 22. My own fast-paced educational journey fueled my passion for helping students gain confidence in learning, understanding our world, and discovering their own unique abilities and callings within it.
In my classes, I strive to make learning an exciting adventure. I use interactive presentations and creative art projects to bring subjects to life, ensuring that every student feels valued and inspired. I'm passionate about helping students come alive with confidence in their learning journey, and I can't wait to embark on this educational and artistic adventure with your family!
