In this ongoing class, your child will learn to draw an animal from one of the seven continents through directed drawing (beginner level 1). After we have drawn the animal of the week, I will share some fun facts about the animal’s habits, habitat, diet, etc. Then, we will turn those ideas into sentences & simple stories! Lastly, learners will render (color) their animal and give it a background that matches its habitat. BEGINNER LEVEL: -Able to follow simple drawing instructions -Can draw...
Students will be able to: 1. Draw and render animals from around the world. 2. Write (create and spell) sentences on their own. 3. Retell facts about amazing animals from all 7 continents.
1. Mead Primary Journal (K-2) or a blank sheet of paper AND lined paper. 2. Sharpened pencil 3. Eraser 4. Black marker 5. Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
