This is a school-year long course or summer mini session that focuses on the steps of the writing process, basic editing skills, presentation skills and building a writer's craft. We will focus on a different writing unit each month. Here are the units that will be covered along with tentative start dates: Summer 2022 July 4: Small Moment Stories Aug. 1: Fiction Writing Fall 2022-2023 Aug. 29: How To Books Oct. 3: Letter Writing Oct. 31: Fiction Stories Nov. 28: Animal Research...
Students will improve their overall understanding of the writing process. They will learn and practice how to transfer their ideas into written format. They will learn how to check and edit their work. They will practice reading aloud their works during class.
