一年級文法、科學和社會研究探索俱樂部！

This fun Exploration Club is a great way for your learner to explore grammar, science and social studies.  My curriculum will follow the standards that are suggested for first grade. We will cover Language Arts, Grammar, Life Science, Earth Science and Social Studies.

This club  will follow the same structure every class. This structure is very important for your leaner! Also, this club will be a great opportunity for your child to connect with other learners and get to know each them! There will be lots of opportunities for interaction! We will play Kahoot games, sing songs and more! 
 
Here is the schedule we will follow each week:

Tuesday: Science
Wednesday: Social Studies

Week 1: All About Nouns, Water Cycle, Famous Americans 1
Week 2:All About Verbs,  Plant Life Cycle, Famous Americans 2
Week 3: All About Contractions, Frog Life Cycle, Famous Americans 3
Week 4 : All About Capital Letters  , Apple Life Cycle, Famous Americans 4
Week 5: All About Punctuation, All About Clouds, Famous Cities in the United States
Week 6: All About Syllables and Compound Words, All About Sun, Moon and Stars, Famous Cities in the World
Week 7: All About Adjectives, All About the Planets, Famous Presidents of the United States
Week 8: All About Synonyms & Antonyms, Butterfly Life Cycle, Famous Americans 5
Week 9: All About Question Words, All About Sharks, Famous Americans 6

In Science we will cover Living Non-Living Things, Classifying Animals - Mammals, Reptiles, Birds, Amphibians, Arthropods, Mollusks, Invertebrates, Vertebrates, Animal Habitats - Ocean, Pond, Forest, Tundra, Desert, Human Body and Senses, Solar System, Planets, Seasons, Water Cycle, Volcanos, Landforms and more!

In Grammar we will cover Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Pronouns, Long Vowels, Short Vowels, Capital Letters and Punctuation, Syllables, Compound Words, Simple Sentences, Compound Sentences and more!

In Social Studies we will focus on famous citizens of U.S. History including George Washington, Abigail Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King, Jr., Harriet Tubman, Thomas Jefferson and more!

My classes are high energy and I really try to encourage participation and keep the child engaged. We will sing songs, games, Kahoot! and more!

There will also be downloads every week that are included in the class. We will use some of these in class and some will be for extra practice.
