The goal of this class is for students to develop reading fluency while developing writing skills. Students will begin to expand their math knowledge beyond shapes and number identification. Students will be able to understand what makes a great citizen.

Hi, I'm Ms. Berry! I am an educator and I've been a teacher and college adjunct professor for almost seven years now. I have experience in varsity educational settings. I enjoy helping students and their families build a solid learning foundation that will foster their future. My goal as a teacher is to always be a positive role model to my students through learning.

This class meets the United States National Council for Social Studies and Common Core standards. This means that this class will cover the following but are not limited to our community, community, maps, past, present, and future. In this class, students will learn how to use analytic skills and understand citizens' different points of view. (Our Social Studies curriculum is used commonly in public schools; your learner may be very familiar with it. We will be using Pearson: Social Studies book. We will also be using 180 Day of First-Grade Social Studies) 

For Math we use NYEngaging: Eureka Curriculum
