課堂經歷
Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room, where it is always a good day when you are learning something new! In this ongoing class, young artists will use step-by-step instructions to draw and paint some awesome projects using our new art theory skills. Our projects include animals, birds, objects, flowers, and human drawings. Art theory focuses on the seven elements as line, shape, color, form, space, texture, and value. The principles of design describe how to use these elements of art while creating your artwork. In each meeting, young artists will create ONE drawing. Please make sure to check the scheduled times below to see which week each drawing will be taught and the materials needed for each drawing (found in the supply list). week of May: 2nd to 9th~ A Toy or thing(fruits or flower) drawing in front of you in acrylic paints ~Study of Shape week of May: 9th to 16th~Still, life in colored pencils ~ list of things will be provided before class ~Study of Shape week of May: 16th to 23rd~Project using shapes inspired by artist S.H. Next 1/2 hour: Coloring or painting using lots of techniques, textures, brush strokes, and mediums too (We will mostly use round, flat, and fan brushes) I will use a dual-screen so that kids can see me drawing with them throughout the whole class. The young artist will be encouraged to make their artwork unique and complete their art independently if they are not finished in class. I pace our class based on the student’s abilities, so we will go slower or faster depending on how they are doing. I will extend the class for a couple of minutes whenever possible if the learner is a little behind. No experience is needed for this class; learners will follow the directions I give. If this class interests your learner please sign up for the class. I am excited to meet your learner! Hope to see your young artist in my classes soon!
