Students will have a first-hand experience learning, drawing, and designing their manga character head "self-portrait." They'll learn the process of sketching "underdrawings," knowing appropriate facial proportions for eyes, nose, mouth, and hair, to later on the inking and marker-coloring techniques.

I (Mr. Dan) have over 15 years of experience teaching manga and visual communication as a sought-after local art teacher. I love working with kids and youths, as they also enjoy the dynamic, fun, and "hands-on" type of teaching that I constantly model and demonstrate. 

Because of my unique educational background & professional experiences, I bring to my students an adventure filled with humor, diligent work, real-world-based insights, and life experiences together. 

But more importantly - Toady and I care deeply about my students, and I want the best for them. I strive to work with students of different needs, expertise, and challenges.
