In this ongoing one on one Reading/Writing tutoring session led by an Elementary and Special Education teacher, learners will work on strengthening their skills in areas of need. Anything from reading comprehension skills, test taking strategies, creative writing, vocabulary, and more. Come learn with me in a high energy, fun, and interactive session for 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade! Topics may include the following and more: *Reading comprehension skills (main idea, sequencing, compare/contrast, inferences, etc) *Test taking strategies *Vocabulary *Narrative/Expository/Opinion writing *Figurative language (similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, idioms, etc) *Imagery (writing with detail) *Homework help My teaching style is energetic, friendly, and patient. When learners come to my session, they can expect an interactive and supportive environment that focuses on them. I love seeing those aha moments and smiling faces during our time together.

Learners will improve their understanding of various reading and writing skills, work towards proficiency/mastery of skills, and build confidence and a love of learning.

As a teacher with experience in Elementary and Special Education, I have worked with students with ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Behavior/Emotional Difficulties, and ESL. I welcome all learners!
