For Minecraft beginners - in this class we will learn and share our Minecraft knowledge and skills with each other while playing on my private world together. If you are just starting out and want to learn everything from the basics of Minecraft to the advanced skills in Minecraft, this class is perfect for you. I have been playing Minecraft for a LONG time and would love to share my knowledge and expertise in Minecraft with you and help you become a Minecraft master! Week 1 - Basics of Minecraft - controls, options, creative mode, survival mode and play together. Week 2 - Survival mode - How to survive and progress in the game and play together. Week 3 - Fighting the bosses and late game strategies - play together Week 4 - Redstone, mob farms, commands, and more. - play together. These are just basic ideas for the classes. Each class can be altered to the learner's desires and needs. We do not need to stick to a strict schedule of topics. These are just some ideas and starting points for the classes. Whatever you want to learn, we can learn it! In order to play together in class you will need to have purchased, downloaded, and installed Minecraft. Either version will work for this class (Java or Bedrock), as I have both. You would just need to let me know which version you are using. **Cover image is a screen shot taken from my game**

Hello! My name is Colin.
I love teaching! My wife and I have been homeschooling our own children for over 10 years. We have taught all grade levels from preschool to high school. I have been a teacher at homeschool co-op groups, a private tutor, and I even teach ESL (English as a Second Language) to foreign students around the world.
My classroom is fun and easy going. We laugh, joke, and play while learning. I think children learn best when they are engaged in the classroom. I found the best way to get them engaged is through fun and laughter. This way they are having a good experience and learning at the same time. If a student is enjoying class and looking forward to the next one, they are more likely to pay attention and remember the things they learned.
I enjoy teaching a wide variety of subjects. I teach the preschool basics (letters, colors, etc.), specialized categories such as animals, history, science, etc.
I love playing video games and enjoy talking about different games and even playing these games together!
I think the social interactions are just as important as the academic subjects, so in my social classes we will encourage conversation, participation, manners, etiquette, and fun!
