I've taught in public schools and for a virtual private school. The course is adapted from a unit I did with my virtual students. Not only have I put a Pokémon spin on the unit, but I made slight changes to better aid students' progress. I’ve been a Pokémon fan since my childhood. I enjoy finding ways to incorporate Pokémon to help students access the content, and I believe students enjoy it too!

Throughout the course, students will work on their informative essay. See the “Class Experience” section for a lesson-by-lesson break down. Any work that is not completed during class will be homework.

Students do receive my feedback on their rough drafts. A project rubric is provided to familiarize learners with rubrics. Upon request, I am happy to provide a rubric-based grade on a learner’s final draft.
