Welcome to Winter Wonderland! In this 4 week class, students will understand why it snows and will learn interesting facts about snowflakes. They will learn about different types of snowstorms. They will explore what animals do in the winter to survive (hibernation, migration, adaptation.) They will be encouraged to ask and answer questions and use critical thinking skills. List for all 4 weeks: Pencil and eraser Scissors Glue (liquid or stick.) Markers/colored pencils/wax crayons Construction paper White paper Paint and paintbrush Cotton balls/tissue/toilet paper Paper plate (optional) Breakdown of supplies by week: Week 1: white paper, pencil and eraser, scissors Week 2: paper plate (or white paper), brown construction paper, cotton balls/tissue/toilet paper, pencil, markers. Week 3: paint (any colors) and paintbrush, black construction paper, pencil, scissors. Week 4: Brown construction paper, white construction paper, scissors, glue, markers, 1 cotton ball (or pompom.)
