비주얼 다이어리

This is a photography class for all levels.  Students will take the equivalent of a roll a day of photographs and then edit to five to bring to the class for critique.  The topics of photography to be covered will be generated by the class as topics of their interest and could include topics such as lighting, composure, content, editing and famous photographers.  I will give a lesson at the beginning of each class on a photography topic and then the second part of the class will be critique of individual photography work from the instructor and peers.  Students will learn how to critique work in a positive, constructive way. This could be a beginning or an advanced course depending on the skill level of each individual student.
Every Week- Take the equivalent of a roll a film a day 12-36 images everyday
Every Week- See Something Art Related- art exhibit online or in person or a film
Every Week- Read Something Photography Related a book or a magazine

Week 1-
Lecture-  
All Students Introduce Themselves- Name, Level of Photography, Interesting Fact

Lecture Topic- How to critique photographs in a positive and constructive way.  
Practice utilizing photographs from famous photographers.

Critique every student has 10 minutes to share their top 5 images of the week and share their exhibit or film and book or magazine

Week 3-

Lecture Topic- Photojournalism: Explain documentary work and show examples Bresson and Lange
Lecture Topic 2- Lighting

Critique Every Student has 10 min to share their top 5 images of the week and share their exhibit or film and book or magazine

Week 4- 
Lecture Topic- Fashion Photography: Explain and show examples- Avedon and Leibowitz
Lecture Topic 2- Composition

Critique every student has 10 min to share their top 5 images of the week and share their exhibit or film and book or magazine


Week 5-
Lecture Topic- Landscape/Travel Photography: Explain and show examples
Lecture Topic 2- Color

Critique every student has 10 min to share their top 5 images of the week and share their exhibit or film and book or magazine

Week 6-
Lecture Topic- Determined by Class or Post Production/Crop
Lecture Topic 2- Backgrounds

Critique every student has 10 min to share their top 5 images of the week and share their exhibit or film and book or magazine

Week 7-

Lecture Topic- Determined by Class or best websites for photographers
Lecture Topic 2- Depth of Field

Critique every student has 10 min to share their top 5 images of the week and share their exhibit or film and book or magazine

Week 8- 
Final Showcase of all students- Students present their best 5 images overall of the entire 8 weeks and explain what they learn 10 min each and 10 min for critique each.
