CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition. AGE RANGE: This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this class we will be learning about the Renaissance. We will bring this history to life by using the video game of Minecraft. Renaissance History is an often forgotten and confusing time in History. There is a lot that happens and this class aims to explore some of the key events. We will be looking at famous artists, places and events during this time. We will take a tour of Florence through the game of Minecraft. We will see how the Renaissance shaped our world and what it means for us today. The Renaissance should not just be kept in the history books.

In this lesson we will be exploring the city of Florence, Italy. This was one of the birthplaces of the Renaissance and is a great way to see inside the lives of people during this time. Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.
Gamer tags will be required for this class. Please send me gamer tags over private message. Never share the gamer tag over the classroom chat. Messages in the classroom chat of this nature will be deleted. This is to insure protection of personal information.

A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
