Never Girls Book and Craft Club(1권 & 2권)

Young Kate McCrady, her friends Lainey and Mia, and Mia’s younger sister, Gabby, hear silvery bells, view flying flamingos, and feel an ocean breeze, and then they are magically whisked away—in a blink—to Pixie Hollow, Never Land’s home to fairies, including Tinker Bell. The fairies agree to transport the girls back home, but before that can occur, Kate sneaks away for a rendezvous with Vidia, a fast-flying fairy with a nasty agenda. As the book concludes, the girls (called “Clumsies” by the fairies) are stuck in Never Land, happily awaiting further adventures. . . Short chapters, large font, and plentiful black-and-white illustrations make this book accessible to beginning chapter-book readers. Recommended where demand for fairies is high. In this interactive class we will be reading  book 1 and 2 of The Never Girls series by Kiki Thorpe.  Each class will follow the same basic pattern. We will read 1 chapter and then have a discussion. Students will be given the opportunity to read aloud but are not required to.  Through the discussions I will teach summarizing, questioning, and inferring. After the discussion we will work on a craft related to the book. The crafts are fairy furniture and accessories to create an outdoor or indoor fairy garden.
