In this 8 week class we will break down and discuss the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. We will read some portions aloud in class giving all of those who want to read a chance. We will also include: Guided Discussions: Covering themes, character development, and storytelling. Quizzes & Fun Challenges: To test knowledge in a fun way. Creative Activities: Sorting Hat Ceremony, Would You Rather Harry Potter edition, Wand Design, and more. My classroom is a casual and safe space to be silly, have fun and learn. I encourage students to push themselves a little outside of their comfort zone but they will not be forced to read if they are not ready. The class is interactive and I encourage questions and discussions so students understand and engage with each other.

I am a TESOL certified online teacher. I have spent many years teaching online to groups of children of various ages and have often included book clubs as a great way to expand a student's comfort in areas they need help, whether it is just reading aloud, interacting with peers or comprehension and finding a love in stories. When a student discusses a topic they enjoy the classroom becomes a fun place and they want to search out more books and continue the adventures. My classroom is a welcoming, fun and relaxed place to share and take risks in a safe space. I like to play icebreaker games and get all of the students comfortable. I volunteer with different children's organizations and have experience running meetings and helping children get comfortable with new people in person or online. 리뷰
