10대 오픈 아티스트 스튜디오: 전문 미술 시간, 비평, 교류 및 협업!

Our Teen Open Studios are a fun and social way to get motivated to make more art! All 2D mediums, digital art & animation welcome! Artists will begin each week with warmups that can range from figure drawing to virtual field trips to new medium experiments. Artists can jump right into their long-term projects or join warmups first. Every learner will have a checkin each week, offering a range of support based on individual needs, like: critiques; discussing organization & motivation strategies; group brainstorms; demos of techniques, materials & style; & portfolio building and reviews.

This class is for dedicated artists who want social, group, studio time to keep developing their skills and intuition with a professional artist mentor and peers! If you want to spend more serious time on your art, and if you really want to develop as an artist and get better at your craft, this is where you belong!

- Warmups: group playful art making based on prompts from the teacher
- Individual work, check-ins and critiques
- Sharing and goodbyes

✨  Learners have the opportunity to get individual feedback each week, learn what it’s like to be a professional artist, what kinds of jobs artists can get, how to put together a portfolio, and more, while gaining confidence in their chosen mediums and experimenting with others!

Artists may request demos of any 2D mediums, techniques, tools and warmups, and we'll work it into open studio time!

✨  GROWTH MINDSET ✨
In our classes, we are building a multi-layered scaffolding of the love of learning that is rooted in the idea that we can find inspiration every day to start again right where we are, finding satisfaction and pride in seeing our progress! Learners who stick with our classes over time come to believe that experimenting, problem solving, setbacks, re-trying and breakthroughs among the support, kindness and inspiration of peers and qualified mentors leads to more flexibility, innovation, courage and self-confidence in not only their art skills, but in all other areas of life! And we have a lot of fun doing it!

We use conversation prompts to create an inspiring atmosphere where artists learn to trust their intuition. We use targeted practice to break down the mechanics of a complex and difficult skill like art into easy, achievable steps, while having fun and building connections and friendships over what we love and struggle with in the art process!

We focus on learning and process—students will build a dedicated art practice in Open Studio! 

✨  PRACTICE ✨ 
Learners are exposed to a variety of styles and tools each week that build their visual vocabulary while having he opportunity to work on their long-term projects. Each week is different, and provides a steady practice that builds over time into confidence and trusted intuition!

✨  CULTURE ✨ 
Our Open Studios are anchored in kindness, affirmations and fun! We do not use competitions or comparing. Constructive, hamburger-style critiques are offered by the mentor. There is a variety of skill level in each group, and we validate and help artists feel good about wherever their skill is, what they want to learn and help them to see how far they've come! Many of our artists love to share their art and bond over what they love and struggle with, but no one is required or pressured to share. Come and be who you are. We teach learners how to find joy and delight in their practice, which motivates them to do it more.
