🤘 Who's ready to rescue the Princess, and join the fun of learning our multiplication facts? 🤘

In our themed class, students will discover the many tips & tricks of learning multiplication facts (numbers 0 - 12). Students will learn & engage with peers, solidify their comprehension with various gamified activities & printable board games!

🧠 We do not play Super Mario in this class, but will have a themed class to encourage students to relate something they love with something they are learning! In essence, your student won't even realize they are learning their multiplication facts as I utilize various themed images, terminology, and discussion to encapsulate their experience!

🧠 To enhance our learning experience, students will be given board games to play with family/friends that go along with the multiplication fact(s) learned that day! The design of our multiplication game, is for players to take turns rolling one die (dice), when each player lands on the designate spot (one spot per number on the die) they must complete the multiplication fact shown before moving onto the next player. The first player to save the Princess wins! Students will need one die (dice), as well as, something to keep track of their spot on the board. The tracker can be a monopoly piece, coin, button, etc. 

🧠 Everyone has a different learning style, and retains information at various rates! In this class, we breakdown multiplication fact families one number at a time (numbers 0-12) to ensure we do not rush the process. Our multiplication facts will vary in order in which we will cover them. For instance, we want to begin with the easiest multiplication facts first, before we attempt to master the harder ones! If we began with the harder facts, not only will it affect our mentality about multiplication, but our overall demeanor when it comes to learning mathematical facts. Remember, this class is meant for you to master multiplication and to fall in LOVE with math all the more! 

🧠 As we dive into the easier multiplication facts first, it will better prompt eagerness when switching into the harder facts. The goal is to understand our fact families by utilizing mental math skills to push our boundaries without the use of a multiplication chart, pencil or paper! In class we also use the added reinforcement of playing a Kahoot game to reach every learning style, and to simply seal in information learned in an interactive way! We also utilize a gamified website called Genially! The concept of Genially is not only to make learning multiplication facts fun, but utilized for repetition & fluency!


ℹ️ Our Class Information ℹ️

🌻 Students will need to print our practice worksheets for each lesson they encounter. These worksheets serve as homework, and if feedback is desired, students can “turn” them into the teacher. Students are not obligated to complete the practice worksheet after each lesson but they are HIGHLY encouraged to do so. 

🌻 This class utilizes two third-party websites. 

       - The first website is called Genially! Each lesson provided in class will have a website link to Genially in which students can complete the various games/tasks to go along with their learned multiplication fact. Students are able to complete these games/tasks as many times as they like as this is our Self-Paced model. 

       - The second website is called Kahoot! What is Kahoot? It is a free program/website that encourages students to practice anything their hearts desire. In this class, the Kahoot's provided will associate with the lesson(s) for the day (ex. multiplication facts for number 1, 2, etc.). Utilizing the Kahoot website will give students the opportunity to practice their new found understanding of various facts. All students will need to do is copy and paste the provided link, and begin. Now the Kahoot portion is not necessary as I cannot track or follow the students progression, but it does give students a fun and engaging format for practice. 

🌻 Additional information and papers will be attached prior to the class start date (every Sunday) for families and students! As with every class I teach, please feel free to reach out with questions you may have. My turn around time in regards to emailed responses are within 24 hours (even on weekends)!


🌻 Why Self-Paced? 🌻

This class is in Self-Pact format, meaning there are no LIVE meetings and students/families are able to pace themselves to their liking. The concept of choosing a Self-Paced course is very beneficial for Outshcool families who need a little extra support, something that can be easily accessed "On the Go", and simply want to take their time on a certain math concept!

We understand that issues may arise! A range of issues could form including but not limited to class difficulty (too easy or hard), technology complications, class/teacher is not a good fit, etc. When problems arise Outschool utilizes their Happiness Guarantee, which provides families with refunds when contacted directly.
